Like many other model builders, I enjoyed putting together some kits as a kid, but then moved on to other life pursuits. As retirement neared, I got back into the hobby.

Today, there are so many exciting (and sometimes exasperating) aspects to the experience of opening a kit box and converting all those pieces of plastic into a completed model.The availability of the Internet and the use of digital photography have had a tremendous impact on my model building. I have found that utilizing photography during the process has been very rewarding for me. Photographs allow me to capture internal work that will not be visible when the model is completed. Using the Internet, I can share what I am doing, and also learn more about the hobby by seeing what other builders are doing.

The goal of this site is to bring together and share my results from learning in both the model building and photography activities.
